Step4earning tips
1.This kind of piem was created by an American poet in the nineteenth century.
(1)这里create作动词,意为“创作”。例如:许多音乐都是他创作的_____________________
(2)create做动词,还可意为“创造,引起,产生(感觉或印象)”。例如:他们的到来引起了城市的轰动。__________________________________________________________
(3)in the nineteenth century意为“在19世纪”,也可写作in the 1800s,相当于during the nineteenth century。表示“在几世纪”时,用“during/in+the+序数词+century”或“during/in+the +数字+s/’s”例如:在20世纪70年代 __________________________ 在20世纪 __________________   
2.Now it’s your turn to be a poet.
Turn在这里是名词,意思是“轮流,顺序”。固定句型 It’s one’s turn to do…意为“轮到某人做谋事”。Take turns to do sth则是与此意相关的一个固定词组,意思是“轮流做谋事‘。例如:轮到我打扫卫生了。_______________________________________________

Summary:
We learn different kinds of foreign poetry. They are limericks, five-line poems and Haiku. The students may think they are very interesting. Some students have surprising poems that you didn’t think of. Give them more chances to practice so that they can create their minds.
