Module 4 Seeing the doctor Unit 2 We haveplayed football for a year now. 教学目标 【知识与技能】 1. 掌握本节课的重点词汇。 2. 能读懂关于介绍健康生活方式的小文章并提取细节信息。能给出需要改善健康水平的人提供适当的建议。 3. 掌握现在完成时for短语的使用。 【情感、态度与价值观】 能够意识到不同人有不同的健康观念和健康生活方式。能关心他人和自己的健康。 教学重难点 【教学重点】 能读懂关于饮食和运动习惯的短文。 【教学难点】 能够针对不健康的生活习惯或行为给出适当的建议和看法。 教学准备 课堂整体运用任务型教学模式,培养学生独立自主的学习能力。本课指导学生通过听说获取信息,培养学生的听说技能。在教学过程中,采用多媒体手段辅助教学,利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿整个教学过程。因此,本节课需准备:PPT课件、挂图、课堂练习表格、奖品。 教学过程 Step1.Lead-in Present a picture, introduce the proverband introduce the topic of the students. To arouse students’ interests andintroduce the topic.[来 Step2 Pre-reading Do a quiz on the types of exercise. Toactivate students’ background knowledge and introduce the two major groups ofexercise. Step3 While-reading Fast reading: Flash the 4 paragraphs and students readfast to catch the type of exercise mentioned. Reading strategy training–skimming & scanning. Careful reading: Students read the passage carefully andfinish the exercises related to the reason and result of the four people’sdoing exercise. (1) Get familiar with the four people’sstories about doing exercise; (2) Introduce the next question about thereason. Step4 Post-reading Discussion: Students discuss in pairs about thereason why the four people have a good or bad result of doing exercise. Help Students to summarize the importantfactors that can be used in their exercise. To develop students’ ability of deep thinkingand summarizing. Step5 Supplementary reading Present four paragraphs and ask Studentsto match them with the proper heading. (1) To broaden Students’ knowledge ofeffective and efficient ways of doing exercise; (2) To prepare for the next activity. Step6 Group work Preparation Ask Students to read the questionnaireby themselves and think about the possible problems. Asks Students to share their ideas aboutthe problems they’ve found. (1) Get Students familiar with thequestionnaire about Students’ doing exercise; (2) Make sure Students know whatproblems they will focus on. Ask Students to work in group of 4 inwhich they will separately work on providing suggestions, taking down notes andreporting their ideas to the whole class. (1) Develop Students’ ability of solvingproblems of doing exercise; (2) Give Students some hints aboutimproving their current exercise. Step7 Summary Summarize the class.
