SectionA 1a-Grammar

一、学生寄语:

二、学习目标:1、学习礼貌地提出请求;  2、 学习礼貌地请求允许做某事;

3、  学习并复习一些常用的动词词组。

1、   To learn to use could for polite request, could for permission.

Step3阅读65页和66页课文 合作探究以下问题。

1、寻找哪一种说法更礼貌

2、交谈练习有关家务活的短语。

3、比一比哪一组能问答更多的动词短语

e.g.  A:  Tom, could please you do the dishes?

B:  Yes, sure. Ann, Could you…?

C:  Sorry, I can’t. Jim,…             D:…

4、Fill in the blanks with “make” OR”do”.(3a)

5、拓展练习:说出更多的有关“make”与”do”的短语。

Step4、测测你的听力

听1b 、2a、 2b然后做相应问题。

Step5、 Groupwork

1、 结对练习:你喜欢做家务活吗?给出理由。

2、 结对练习:把所做的家务活列出清单,分为喜欢和不喜欢,并给出理由。(3b)

3、 采访、报告:你在家做家务活吗?多久做一次?小组采访并报告。

The chores:

do the dishes; clean the room; take out the trash ; sweep the floor; fold the clothes;

make the bed; wash the clothes; do the laundry; make dinner; wash the car…

一个同学反转卡片并让你的合作伙伴做出相应动作。合作伙伴回答“No” 并给出理由。

e.g. A: Could you please do the chores?

B: Sorry , I can’t. I have to do my homework.给出的理由不能与前面相同,否则出局。谁坚持的时间最长,将会是获胜者。

    “do”与动作及非实质性的事连用,与词尾是-ing的动作名词连用,如:do the dishes(洗餐具),do my homework(做我的家庭作业),do chores(做家务,处理琐事),do the laundry(洗衣),do the shopping(购物),do some reading(读书)

    “make”表示             等,如: make your bed(铺床),   breakfast(做早餐),             dinner(做晚饭),make tea(泡茶,沏茶),make myself a cup of coffee(给自己冲一杯咖啡)

Students work in pairs (3 a、3b.)

Step1.课前预习

根据汉语意思完成下列各句,每空一词。

1. 你把垃圾拿出去吗?好的。

合作探究以下问题。

在表示请求帮助或请求允许的疑问句中,常用could代替can,以表示礼貌,委婉或不确定的语气,而can则不具备这些语气。这种情况下不能把could看作can的过去式。以上两句中用could是为了表示礼貌的请求。表示请求帮助或请求允许时,除了can, could之外,还可以用may,句子的表达方式也各有不同,可以用不同的方式来表示同一个概念。例:

    ①Could/Can/May I use your car for a day?

    ②I wonder if I could use your car for a day?

    ③Do you mind if I use your car for a day?

       对于①、②句所作允答可以各种各样,如同意可以说     ,或    或Certainly,还可说Yes, (do) please. 或Of course. (you may/can). 或That’s OK/all right. 如果不同意,可以说I’m sorry you can’t. 或I’m really sorry, but I have to use it today. 要避免说No, you can’t. 这样显得很不礼貌。否定回答通常用委婉语气。对于句(3)所作回答可以说Never mind. /Not at all. 表“不介意”。不能用Yes. /Sure. /Of course. /Certainly.等。

无论肯定还是否定应答中,要避免使用could,要用can或may。因为应答须用确定的语气。而could在表请求的问句中是为了表示礼貌或委婉语气,用在应答中则成了不确定语气,与情理不符。所以应答中不说Yes, you could. 或No, you couldn’t. 而要说Yes, you can. 或Sorry. /No, you can’t.

Talk about Sally's weekend: What chores does Sally do on weekends?

Ask and answer according to the pictures in your cards.The one who gets a red card asks and the one with a blue card  answers.

Listen. What is Sandy’s mom going to do? What is Sandy going to do? What are Sandy and Dave going to do? Fill in the chart.

Ask a student to read the beginning of the e-mail message.

Read the instructions and have Ss know what to do .

Ask Ss to read the letter on their own and complete the chart .
